About me as a therapist:
Hi, I am in my final year of my Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling training at North West London Counselling & Training college (NWLCT). I am a student member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics. My previous experience includes working as a trainee counsellor with Help counselling centre.
I practise integratively using psychodynamic and a person centred modality, I am also deeply interested in a Jungian holistic approach, and curious about dream interpretation, symbolism, artworks, and deep introspection. I believe in culturally relevant therapeutic approaches. I understand the need for using other languages to delve deeper into self and a person’s historical self. I can offer counselling in both English and Arabic.
I believe we all have different ways of experiencing life, and different ways of expressing our self, whatever your way may be I hope to cultivate a space where you can show up as your full self, with compassion, curiosity and courage. We can be curious to explore whatever might arise, at what ever pace that feels comfortable.
I work at Spiral on Wednesdays between 11 am and 2 pm.
