About me as a therapist:

Hi! My name is Gabija (Ga-bee-a), she/her. I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counsellor
(MNCPS Accred.). I offer relatable, relational, and down-to-earth therapy for adults, couples
and intimate partnerships.
I help people move from avoidance, inner chaos, fear, self-doubt, and feeling lost, stuck or
disengaged to ease, clarity, liberation, and connection themselves and others.
I use a therapeutic approach called Relational Transactional Analysis. This approach helps
you understand your unique story and break free from patterns or narratives that no longer
serve you. These may stem from a difficult childhood, past trauma, or life pressures.
I believe in the power of pausing and asking the right questions to go beyond insight and
process the feelings that keep you stuck.
I also believe that we discover who we are through relationships. Many have learned that
parts of ourselves are unacceptable, shameful, or too much. If we are wounded in
relationships, we can also heal through them.
As a therapist, I see mental health as being deeply influenced by the world around us – our
social, cultural, and political environments. This perspective is personal to me. As an expat
woman living in the UK, I understand the challenges of finding one's voice amidst
differences and answering questions like: Who am I? and What do I truly want? This
journey also allows me to empathise with the challenges of major life transitions.
I hold an MSc in Counselling Studies, a Diploma in Transactional Analysis Counselling with an
Intersectional Lens, and a Certificate in Working with Addictions. Alongside my private
practice, I have worked for charity organizations and NHS mental health services. Before
training as a counsellor, I worked as a teacher.

Therapy for individuals
You might also want to discuss with me relationships with friends, family or partners,
modern life challenges (burnout, confidence, self-esteem, uncertainty, social expectations,
addictions, stress and anxiety), identity (culture, neurodiversity, gender, sexuality), life
transitions (loss, having kids, career shifts). I am also open to exploring big existential
questions like freedom, purpose, or the current state of the world or your country.

Therapy for couples & intimate partnerships:
I believe that relationship therapy can benefit anyone. Relationship therapy sessions help
deepen intimacy, resolve disagreements, heal from betrayal, feel confident managing
conflict, and feel more secure within partnership(s).
