About me as a supervisor:

I am a psychotherapist registered with the UKCP and BACP (a Senior Accredited member and BACP Fellow). I worked as a counsellor in Higher Education from 1986 to 2020 and qualified as a psychotherapist in 2002. I began a private practice in 2020. I have supervised trainee counsellors/psychotherapists since 2000 and have been supervising qualified therapists since 2020.
I have a Diploma in Counselling Skills (South West London College 1986) and a Diploma in Gestalt Psychotherapy (Gestalt Psychotherapy Training Institute 2002) as well as regular CPD throughout my career.
I am a trained Gestalt therapist, using a holistic approach which emphasises the importance of connection and contact, in all senses. I have a deep commitment to addressing individual and cultural diversity, the dynamics of difference and connection. I am a yoga practitioner/instructor and have a regular mindfulness practice.
At Spiral I provide clinical supervision to trainee counsellors and psychotherapists. For me supervision provides a creative space to explore the work with clients, to reflect on the evolving process, a space for learning and a place where you can feel supported as an early career practitioner.
My supervision hours at Spiral are Wednesday mornings 9am-11am
