Karina Kirilova

I am a trainee counselling student in my 2nd year of the BSc (Hons) Counselling and Coaching course at London Metropolitan University. I am a student member of BACP, adhering to their ethical framework. My experience includes but is not limited to working with childhood trauma, addiction, relationship struggles, and anxiety /panic attacks.

I have an extensive personal therapeutic journey which has demonstrated to me people's innate ability to heal and to become everything they are capable of.

I use a non-directive approach which means that I let clients lead their therapeutic journey, I offer a non-judgmental and safe space for this to unfold naturally. I see it as my privilege to be part of their healing journey. I observe a person-centred, varied approach because I believe that all people are unique in their way. Because of this, each person's individual journey cannot be restricted by any psychological theory but instead supported by them.

I believe in the healing power of gratitude and nature. I recognise that there is an interconnection between emotional, psychological and physical realms, and I would hold and bring the necessity for unconditional positive regard and empathy in our work together.

I work with Spiral on Wednesdays.
