I am a qualified counsellor and hold a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from the Mary Ward Centre, London. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics and practice which ensures that my priority is your well-being.
As well as offering low cost counselling at Spiral, I also provide short-term therapeutic counselling for clients referred through the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme.
I believe everyone has the potential for growth and to heal, and I work from an empowering perspective to help you change and heal from within. My approach is based on understanding the interconnectivity between mind, body and emotions, and the influence of early life experiences and relationships on your present life. As an integrative counsellor, I use a variety of approaches which I adapt according to your individual needs. I will work with you in a calm, compassionate, gentle and non-judgemental way. I will sensitively support and help you explore and express your thoughts and feelings, and develop greater self-awareness.
I have a particular interest in the relationship between life experiences, self-esteem and physical health conditions. Having worked with a diversity of people, including those who feel marginalised, I have experienced how therapeutic counselling can lead to improved physical and emotional health and well-being.
I work at Spiral on Thursdays.
