I hold a Diploma in Integrative Counselling (October 2018) from the Minster Centre and study in the final year for an MA in Psychotherapy, also at the Minster Centre. I am a registered BACP member and adhere to their code of ethics and safe practice.
As an integrative counsellor/therapist, my learning has been informed by both person-centred and psychodynamic approaches, as well as attention to what our bodies might hold and can tell us about our potential and our pain. I have worked in the voluntary sector with homeless and vulnerable adults and for the past two and a half years have volunteered as a counsellor for a charity. I also teach sociology and education at a university. Psychotherapy for me, offers a unique and transformative space where we can explore our past, internal and external worlds and how these have shaped who we are and how we respond. I aim to offer a non-judgemental and holding therapeutic relationship where we can be curious and work with whatever brings you to therapy.
I am at Spiral on Monday evenings.
