I am a qualified counsellor, having received a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling in July 2017. I am also a registered member of the BACP. I work with an integrative model and include both Person Centred and Psychodynamic approaches.
I view the therapeutic relationship as central to our work and offer empathy and a non-judgemental attitude which are also central towards building trust. We will work together in this safe and confidential space within which the issues and feelings you bring can be explored. Where appropriate we might look at past events and at how these may be influencing unhelpful habits or behaviour in the present.
Through a greater self-awareness of both mind and body, and development of compassion and self -acceptance, the choices that are made by you in relation to yourself and your relationships can hopefully be more positive. In recent years I have worked at the mental health charity, Mind and at Bereft, a bereavement organisation where I have supported individuals with a range of issues.
I work at Spiral on Saturdays.
