Aneela Mallick Ferdinand

Clinical Supervision and Consultancy (2014, NAOS Institute). BACP registered Counsellor and Psychotherapist. COSRT registered member. European Diploma Therapeutic Counselling (2001, City &Islington College), MA Psychotherapy and Healing (2009, Middlesex University).

I offer supervision to both qualified counsellors and to those in training. My approach is supportive and reflective, encouraging an awareness of the live, jointly held relationship with the client in mind. Working creatively in response to the needs of clients, I acknowledge the therapist’s skills and style as well as support and encourage experiential ‘learning edges’ and areas of growth. I invite attentiveness to the various levels under which client work is presented and am interested in the ways in which shared connectivities are informed by and developed through commitment to ongoing professional practise.

My theoretical position is Integrative and I have experience working with issues which broadly include; relationships and interpersonal work, mental health difficulties, transcultural and intercultural work, identity based issues, chronic illness, creativity, Transpersonal work, personal development and psychosexual health.

As well as working in private practice, I provide a consultative and mentoring provision to educational institutions within the Arts field.

I offer supervision on Saturdays at Spiral
