During the time of coronavirus, Spiral continues to offer counselling and psychotherapy at reasonable fees, as well as low cost counselling and psychotherapy for those on low or no income. Sessions are currently being held online or on the phone and will transfer back to face to face when that’s possible.
The counsellors, psychotherapists and complementary therapists at Spiral come from a variety of disciplines and trainings. What we have in common is that we all work holistically, honouring the interconnected nature of mind, body, heart and spirit. As well as considering thoughts and feelings, both of which may be experienced physically, we each hold a sense of something more, whether connection with nature, with energy, with shared humanity or with a deeper or higher power within or outside the self.
The therapists are from diverse backgrounds, and work with a wide range of therapeutic issues. We value and respect each person’s uniqueness, giving careful awareness to differing cultures and choices. We believe that understanding the marginalisation of people from minority groups is an important part of the therapeutic and holistic frame.
Spiral has high standards of professionalism. The therapists all hold insurance and adhere to the code of practice of their professional organisations. Many have been qualified for between 5 and 20 years, others have qualified more recently and some are in training on recognised diploma courses. What all share is depth of insight, self-awareness and sensitivity.
