Back to Therapeutic approaches

Angela Clerkin

I am a BACP registered therapist, working with the mind, heart, body and spirit. I have a Diploma in Integrative and Transpersonal Counselling from Re-Vision. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk freely and confidentially about your life without judgement.

Prior to being a therapist I worked in the theatre for many years, and before that for the NHS and Justice system. These experiences inform my approach to therapy. I believe creative thinking can help when we get stuck in life, when we are finding it hard to change old patterns, when we need new blueprints for our lives.

Our sessions will be a conversation between the two of us, exploring where you are at and what changes are you hoping for. We might also work with images, visualisations and/or body symptoms - we will work at the pace and in the way that works best for you.

I enjoy working with a wide range of issues, including but not limited to: Anger, Anxiety, Work Related Challenges, Self-Esteem, Trauma, Boundaries, Grief, Addictions, Menopause, Relationship Issues, Codependency, Sexuality and Gender Identity.

My clients include people from diverse cultures, genders, sexualities, religions and faiths. I have experience of working with neurodiverse people including those with ADHD, dyslexia and OCD. I am an LGBTQAI+ affirmative therapist and welcome non-binary and trans clients.

My fee is £70 per 50 minute session.

I see clients at Spiral on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I also practice in Shoreditch E1 and Online
