I believe that each of us has the potential for growth and to heal, and I work from this empowering perspective to help you to change and heal from within. My approach is based on understanding the connection between your mind, body and emotions, and how your early life experiences and relationships have influenced your present life.
As an integrative counsellor I use a variety of approaches which I adapt according to your individual needs. I work in a calm, compassionate and gentle way to sensitively help you explore and express your thoughts and feelings. Through helping you to make sense of complicated feelings and identifying patterns of behaviour, greater self-awareness and self-acceptance can be achieved.
I have a particular interest in the relationship between life experiences, self-esteem and physical health conditions. I have seen through my work with a broad range of people, including those who feel marginalised, how therapeutic counselling can help improve both physical and emotional health and well-being.
I have experience of working with individuals on a long-term and short-term basis, including clients referred through the NHS. My experience includes working with anxiety, depression, bereavement, childhood abuse, health-related issues and chronic health conditions (including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/ME), disability, discrimination, panic attacks, personal development, relationship issues, self-esteem, stress and work-related issues.
I hold a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling from the Mary Ward Centre, London. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their code of ethics and practice which ensures that your well-being is my priority.
I am currently working online, offering sessions via Zoom.
My fee is £65.00 for a 50-minute session. Concessions available.
